Why girls?

Globally, one in eight people is a girl or young woman, yet nearly one in four girls aged 15–19 are not in education, employment, or training, compared to one in ten boys. Adolescent girls are the next generation of leaders, but too often they are not given the platforms, resources, or support they need to make their voices heard. At Global Girl Project, we believe in creating spaces where girls can build confidence in their voices and use their ideas and passions to drive meaningful change within their communities and beyond.

We know that investing in girls has a ripple effect, benefiting not only the girls themselves, but also their families, communities, and countries.
