Global Girls to Global Changemakers Campaign
March Fundraising Campaign
This March, we invite you to be part of Global Girls to Global Changemakers. A month-long fundraising campaign that supports girls to grow into confident leaders and changemakers in their communities.
The name of the campaign reflects our belief that when girls are given the tools, trust, and opportunities to lead locally, they create change that reaches far beyond themselves. Global girls become global changemakers.
From 1–31 March, Global Girl Project will be fundraising through GlobalGiving to sustain our Global Girl Leadership Initiative for the year ahead. Funds raised will support programmes in Uganda, Nepal, Nigeria, India, Haiti, Bolivia, South Africa, and Ethiopia.
At the heart of this campaign are the women facilitators from our programme partner organisations who deliver our programmes every day. These women teach, mentor, and walk alongside girls as they build confidence, develop leadership skills, and learn how to lead change in their own communities. Throughout March, we will share their stories and the impact they make on the ground.
Our Fundraising Goal
Our goal is to raise USD 2,500 per country.
Each week of March will spotlight a different group of countries, with a fundraising target of USD 2,500 for each country’s programme. Reaching this goal allows us to continue delivering structured, locally led leadership training for girls for a full year.
Donations will directly fund:
Girls’ leadership sessions delivered in community settings
Education grants that remove barriers to learning
Girl-led community action projects
Training and ongoing support for women facilitators from our programme partner organisations
A Week-by-Week Focus
Throughout the month, we will focus on:
Week 1. Uganda and Nepal
Week 2. Nigeria and India
Week 3. Haiti and Bolivia
Week 4. South Africa and Ethiopia
Each week, you will be invited to donate to the featured countries and help us reach their fundraising targets.
Why This Matters
Girls’ leadership does not happen by chance. It happens when girls have consistent mentorship, safe spaces to learn, and real opportunities to practise leadership. As we approach International Women’s Day, this campaign also highlights the power of women investing in girls and the lasting impact of locally led leadership on families and communities.
This is more than storytelling. It is a collective effort to ensure girls continue to access leadership training, education support, and a global network that believes in their potential.
